Install the GitHub app

Onboarding asks you to install the Assert app on a GitHub organization and pick one to start in. You can add more later. Private repositories and webhook updates both depend on this.Without admin rights on the organization, skip to the personal access token step and authenticate with a PAT instead.

Open a pull request

Pick one from your inbox, or go straight to a review URL:
With the app installed, Assert comments on new pull requests with a direct link.

Read it cluster by cluster

Press V to open the cluster view and work through the change one unit at a time, marking each reviewed with R. See Reviewable units.

Comment, then hand it back

Press K to comment. When you are done, select the comments you want acted on and send them to an agent.
Assert is keyboard-driven. Press G then ? in any review for the shortcut list, or see Keyboard shortcuts.
